OX2

A Swedish renewable energy developer headquartered in Stockholm and owned by the private equity investor EQT since a 2024 takeover that delisted it from Nasdaq Stockholm. It built its business developing, constructing and selling wind, solar and storage projects, and under EQT is becoming a hybrid independent power producer that keeps operational assets in selected markets. Its offshore wind projects, in the Baltic Sea and the Kattegat for the Swedish, Finnish and Åland markets, were mostly developed with Ingka Investments, part of the IKEA retailer Ingka Group, which bought 49% stakes in Swedish and Finnish projects in 2022 and 2023. The northern part of Galatea-Galene, 400 MW off Sweden's west coast, won a government permit in May 2023, but in 2024 the Swedish government rejected 13 Baltic Sea offshore wind projects on national defence grounds, four of them developed by OX2 with Ingka.

Capacity is net of ownership stake: a 50% JV counts half. Gross exposure (full nameplate of every project held): 12.9 GW.
