Statkraft

A Norwegian power company wholly owned by the Norwegian state, through the state enterprise Statkraft SF and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries. It reports four segments: Nordics, which owns and operates hydro and wind power in the Nordic countries; Europe; International, covering selected markets outside Europe; and Markets, its trading arm. In offshore wind it has been in and out: it sold its stakes in the UK farms Sheringham Shoal and Dudgeon and completed that exit in 2018. It returned in 2021 through two partnerships off Norway, one with Aker and bp and one with Aker and Ocean Winds. Its 2025 strategy review stopped further offshore wind activities, leaving North Irish Sea Array off Ireland, held through a 50% joint venture, as its one remaining offshore wind project. Offshore wind is therefore a single holding at the edge of a group built on Nordic hydropower.

Capacity is net of ownership stake: a 50% JV counts half. Gross exposure (full nameplate of every project held): 1.00 GW.
