Chance of delivery
≈13%
estimated chance this project reaches commercial operation
Projects put on hold complete ≈15% of the time on Hafrok's record. This one sits below that: a very large build, technical complexity and no offtake contract yet. Only a restart would change that — there is no dated schedule to judge against.

How Hafrok got this date
1
On hold — no dated schedule
The project is recorded as On Hold, so no sequence of milestones can be trusted. Hafrok publishes no expected year; the chart instead spreads the remaining chance of completion over the years a restarted project might finish in.
2
Chance of delivery — separate from timing
Start from the share of On Hold projects that went on to complete — ≈15%, measured on Hafrok's record of delivered and abandoned projects, with an allowance held back where that record cannot yet speak (projects still unresolved, changed market conditions). Historically only a minority of projects put on hold returned to delivery — the estimate reflects that. Then adjust for this project's own evidence — offtake, market, size, technical complexity — to ≈13%, which rates it

Founding JV · 2021-03
BP · EnBW — BP and EnBW formed a 50:50 joint venture in early 2021 to jointly develop two UK Round 4 offshore wind leases in the Irish Sea. The projects were named Morgan (1.5 GW) and Mona (1.5 GW) in July 2021. This was bp's entry into UK offshore wind. No cash consideration; pure JV formation. Morgan was subsequently discontinued in January 2026 after failing to secure CfD in AR7.

The JERA Nex bp / EnBW joint venture discontinued Morgan in January 2026 after failing to secure a Contract for Difference in Allocation Round 7 and relinquished the Round 4 lease rights to The Crown Estate — no sale, no buyer. The sister Mona project went the other way (JERA Nex bp bought EnBW out). The Crown Estate announced a re-tender in June 2026 and launched it on 24 July 2026, aiming to appoint a new developer by the end of 2026.

From Hafrok’s transactions record
Dashed tick marks today (9 Sep 2026). The ▲ below the spine is the developer-announced COD. The teal diamond on the spine is origination — the seabed award or round that created the project. Every other ownership event lives in the band below: one station per recorded deal, dated at its label, in deal order rather than to calendar scale. Secondary trades appear only at the interchanges; grey lines are parties whose entry or exit Hafrok’s record does not hold.
