About Hafrok

Hafrok is an intelligence platform for offshore wind and energy infrastructure. Its rule is simple: every number shows its working, and every working traces to a primary source.

Who builds it

Hafrok is built by Hjörtur Páll Hjartar, drawing on ten years of offshore wind and energy expertise. It is the tool he wanted offshore wind analysis to have: data-driven, curious, and open about how every figure is made. Requests for access land with him personally, and so does the reply.

The engine behind the platform

Underneath the site is one structured database: 859 projects across 31 markets, the settled auction record, a ledger of ownership deals, and the grid infrastructure that connects them. Each material fact carries a reference to its source and the verbatim words that source used, and wherever possible the document itself is archived in Hafrok's own vault, so the evidence outlives the link. 5,379 source documents are held today.

An automated engine keeps it current. Every morning it walks the disclosure pages of developers, regulators and the trade press, archives anything new, and queues it for reading. A weekly cycle works that queue, researches what changed, and has every material edit checked against the cited source before it enters the database.

Nothing derived is typed in by hand. A project's lifecycle stage, its delivery confidence and its expected completion date are computed by one code library from the recorded facts, so a dossier, a market profile and the world outlook can never quietly disagree. The completion forecasts are calibrated on the projects that actually delivered, and backtested against them.

Standing checks run with every refresh: ownership on each record is reconciled against the deal ledger, joins to public registers are re-audited, and ranking claims are re-checked against the database's own contents. Findings are fixed at the source, and the site is regenerated from the database rather than edited by hand.
